George Grieve is an insurance industry consultant and much sought after source by both insurers and technology vendors for his expertise in core insurance software evaluation, selection and implementation. A frequent guest speaker and published author on a wide variety of insurance and technology topics, George brings a perspective and knowledge set that adds value to all aspects of the insurance technology equation.

George is the CEO and founder of CastleBay Consulting, a leading insurance consulting and services provider. Prior to founding the company, George was a Consulting Principal with IBM’s Insurance Solutions Unit, specializing in large scale business and systems integration projects for leading US and Canadian insurers.

Before he joined IBM, George worked in US Property and Casualty carrier companies as a Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President. In these positions he undertook a series of successful technology-based projects and executed business re-engineering initiatives. During this period George was an officer, director and Corporate Secretary of several insurance and insurance-related organizations.

In the technology arena, George has successfully run major outsourcing, package implementation and systems development projects. These projects have covered all core insurance system applications including Underwriting, Policy Administration, Claims and Billing.

George developed CastleBay’s Software Selection RoadMap, a leading software acquisition methodology, and much of its supporting Intellectual Capital, as well as the company’s Insurance FastStart training class.

In addition to his industry and corporate leadership roles George remains involved in CastleBay’s hands-on consulting engagements.
